About Nicole San Martin, RMHCI
I’m a soon to be Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern providing bilingual therapy in English and Spanish to kids, teenagers, and adults seeking emotional stability, trauma healing, and deeper self-understanding. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients with trauma histories, ADHD, and people who worry they feel things "too" deeply.
My approach is grounded, warm, and skill-focused. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, somatic-based practices (connecting the mind and body), and Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) to help clients process unresolved experiences, calm their nervous system, set better boundaries, and build a more centered sense of self.
I completed my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, but my journey into this field started long before graduate school. As someone who has personally worked through a lot: anxiety, an eating disorder, low self-esteem, trauma, burnout, and ADHD, I deeply understand what it’s like to want relief and change, and not know where to start. Years ago, therapy was the catalyst that helped me successfully find happiness, build my sense of self, and genuinely change my life. It’s what motivates the authentic empathy and care I bring into the room with my clients.
I was born and raised in Miami, and I’m deeply connected to Latin, Miami, and U.S. culture. That blend informs my approach and allows me to understand the nuances, pressures, and cultural layers many clients navigate, especially in a city as unique and diverse as ours. I’m committed to honoring the complexity of each person’s background, values, and lived experience. My goal is to offer a supportive space where you can explore your patterns, reconnect with yourself, and create meaningful, lasting change.
As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida, I practice under the supervision of a qualified licensed clinician as required by state law.
