Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions, and that’s completely normal. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions I receive about therapy, trauma, ADHD, pricing, and what it’s like to work with me as a therapist in Coral Gables or virtually in Florida. If you still have questions or want to talk things through, I’m happy to answer them during a free 15-minute consultation call, where we can connect and see if working together feels like the right fit.

1
Who do you work with?
I work primarily with women and afab individuals ages 16–60 who feel emotionally overwhelmed and may be navigating ADHD (diagnosed or suspected), trauma, PTSD or C-PTSD, anxiety, or depression. Many of my clients describe themselves as highly sensitive, deeply emotional, or feeling like they “feel too intensely.” I offer therapy in English and Spanish and serve clients in Coral Gables and throughout Florida via telehealth.
2
Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?
-
No. Many people I work with suspect they have ADHD or resonate with ADHD-related struggles such as difficulty focusing, emotional intensity, overwhelm, procrastination, or burnout. A formal diagnosis is not required. Therapy can help you better understand how your brain works and develop strategies that actually support you.
3
What counts as trauma?
-
Trauma is not limited to a single, extreme event. Trauma can include emotional neglect, chronic invalidation, childhood instability, relational trauma, growing up in unsafe or unpredictable environments, medical trauma, accidents, loss, or ongoing stress that overwhelmed your ability to cope. If something still affects your nervous system, emotions, relationships, or sense of self, it counts. You do not need to “prove” that what you went through was bad enough. I work with both PTSD and complex PTSD (C-PTSD) and take a trauma-informed compassionate, validating approach to trauma healing.
4
What is your approach to therapy?
-
My approach is warm, collaborative, and skills-based. I integrate:
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and coping skills
-
Somatic-based approaches to help calm the nervous system and reconnect mind and body
-
Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) for trauma processing
-
Together, we focus on healing old wounds, building emotional regulation, setting boundaries, and helping you feel more grounded and in control in your daily life.

Do you offer therapy in Spanish?
-
Yes. Although many people are often surprised to learn that I speak Spanish, I offer bilingual therapy in English and Spanish. I am Argentine and American, born and raised in Miami, and I understand the cultural layers that many clients navigate. I strive to provide culturally attuned care where you can express yourself fully in the language that feels most natural to you, whether that be English, Spanish, or Spanglish.
6
Where are you located?
-
I am based in Coral Gables, Florida, and I provide therapy to clients in the Coral Gables and greater Miami area. I also offer telehealth therapy throughout the state of Florida, making services accessible and flexible.
7
What are your credentials?
- I hold a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) and I have training in Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills, and Somatic Therapy.
8
How long do clients typically stay in therapy with you?
-
I don’t believe therapy should be forever. My goal is to work myself out of a job by helping you build the insight, skills, and inner strength needed for everyday life. Many clients come weekly at first and later transition to less frequent sessions. You’re always welcome to return for support as needed.
9
Do you accept insurance?
-
At this time, I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance.
Some clients choose private pay to maintain greater privacy, flexibility, and control over their treatment. I can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
10
How much does therapy cost?
-
50-minute session — $175
Standard weekly or biweekly therapy. -
1 hour and 20 minute session — $225
Ideal for deeper processing. -
1 hour and 50 minute session — $300
Recommended for trauma processing (TIR), complex emotional work, or a slower, more spacious pace
11
Do you offer virtual therapy?
-
Yes. I offer secure virtual therapy sessions for clients located anywhere in Florida. Virtual therapy can be a great option if you prefer flexibility or are unable to attend in-person sessions.
12
How long are sessions and how often will I meet with my therapist?
-
Session length depends on your needs and goals. Most clients meet weekly, especially when starting therapy. The options are 50-minute sessions, 1 hour and 20 minute session, or a 1 hour and 50 minute session.
-
Together, we’ll decide:
-
Session length
-
Frequency
-
Pace of therapy
-
-
This can change over time as your needs evolve.
13
Do you offer emergency or crisis services?
-
I do not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency or are in immediate danger, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
14
How do I schedule a session?
-
Before scheduling a full therapy session, we’ll start with a free 15-minute consultation, held either by video or phone, whichever you prefer. This brief call gives us both the opportunity to see if we’re a good fit, talk about what you’re looking for in therapy, and answer any initial questions you may have before committing to ongoing work.
-
If we decide together that it feels like a good fit, we’ll move forward with scheduling a full session.
