I've lived through my own complex trauma, and I know how it can ripple across a lifetime.
Coping your way through trauma isn't the solution. Processing it is.
Does your mind know you're safe, but your body refuses to believe it?
Do you feel like you're constantly waiting for the next bad thing to happen, even when everything is okay?
Do you want connection, but guard against closeness?
Complex trauma stemming from childhood experiences, traumatic relationships, and abuse can affect every part of your life, including relationships, work, sleep, confidence, and even the way you see yourself.
You may feel haunted by your past or drawn to people, situations, or relationship dynamics that remind you of what hurt you. You know the trauma happened years ago, but your nervous system still reacts like it's happening today.
I know how exhausting it is to live that way, and I can help.
Complex Trauma Therapy With Me
The goal of trauma therapy isn't to endlessly revisit painful memories. The goal is to help your mind and body finally understand that what happened is over.
Together, we'll work to process traumatic experiences so they stop feeling present. We'll help your nervous system recognize what your mind knows: that the present is the present and that you are safe now.
Some clients focus on a specific memory. Others focus on a recurring theme that has followed them throughout their lives. We don’t always need to talk about every detail of what happened for meaningful healing to occur.

Modalities I Use
Trauma Incident Reduction
A structured process that helps traumatic memories become filed away as past experiences rather than ongoing threats.
Somatic Therapy
Helps calm the nervous system, reconnect with your body, and reduce the physical reactions trauma leaves behind.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills (DBT)
Builds skills for managing intense emotions, reducing overwhelm, and responding to stress more effectively.
Psychoeducation
Teaches you how trauma affects the brain and body so your symptoms make sense instead of feeling frightening or confusing.
I tell clients that trauma becomes the glasses they see the world through.
Our work is about taking those glasses off so you can experience life as it is today, not as your trauma taught you to expect it to be.

About Nicole San Martin
I focus on trauma work because in my own experience, a properly trained trauma therapist has a great impact on healing. I've seen how many people spend years in therapy learning cognitive coping skills without ever fully processing the experiences that continue to keep them stuck.
Clients describe me as warm, easy to talk to, and extremely non-judgmental. There is nothing you could say in session that would make me judge you. I‘m actively engaged in our work together, helping you understand your patterns, process what's happened, and recognize progress along the way. I care deeply about helping people heal, and I bring that enthusiasm into every session.
Born and raised in Miami, I'm half Argentinian and fluent in Spanish. I live in Coral Gables and love exploring different fitness routines, from yoga and soccer to CrossFit and heated Pilates. I also have two cats that currently live with my parents because my partner is allergic, and I miss them every day.
