An ADHD therapist for adult women can help you with focus, follow-through, and the self-doubt that builds after years of feeling behind. I offer ADHD therapy online anywhere in Florida and in person in Coral Gables, Miami, for women who were diagnosed late or never diagnosed at all. Here's how to find an ADHD therapist who understands how ADHD shows up for women.

What does ADHD therapy for women focus on?

ADHD therapy looks at how your brain actually works, then builds your life around that instead of fighting it. That often includes overwhelm, time blindness, big emotions, and rejection sensitivity. It also includes masking, or working hard to look like you have it all together.

For many women, a big part of therapy is the impostor syndrome and fear of being "found out" that come from years of struggling quietly.

Therapy is also a place to grieve the years you spent thinking something was wrong with you. Many women feel relief, and sometimes sadness, when they finally understand how their brain works.

Why look for a therapist who works with both ADHD and trauma?

ADHD and trauma often show up together, and they can look alike. Years of being called lazy, messy, or "too much" can leave real emotional wounds. For many women, the hardest part of ADHD isn't the symptoms; it's the years of believing they were the problem.

Because I work with both, you don't have to pick one explanation. We look at the whole picture.

How does online ADHD therapy work?

Sessions happen by secure video, so you can join from home or any private space in Florida. Many women with ADHD find it easier to show up consistently when there's no commute. I keep sessions structured and help you build simple routines and reminders that fit your brain.

You need to be physically in Florida during virtual sessions.

Online sessions also make it easier to fit therapy into busy weeks with work, school, or kids. If you prefer, you can mix online sessions with in-person visits to my Coral Gables office.

Does an ADHD therapist diagnose or prescribe medication?

Not always. I don't do formal ADHD assessments or prescribe medication. I can refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist for an assessment, and I can work alongside your prescriber if you take medication.

Sessions range from $200 to $400 depending on length, private pay, online across Florida or in person in Coral Gables, in English or Spanish. I recommend 80-minute sessions for most clients.

You don't have to keep white-knuckling your way through work, school, and home. If you want support that fits how your brain works, book a free 15-minute intro call to see if we're a good fit.
